great shots in LA. i especially love the homeless man and his feet. so .. real.
your swing shot was hysterical. it took me a few seconds to see the 'kid' in the shot!

What a fun day that was, I too really like the shots of the homeless man and his feet. The salvation bus is another of my very favorites; it looks like it should be in the book you bought that day. Awesome pictures and now I finally see where you were going with those palm and tarrot signs they look great too. Have a great day, hope to see you Sunday!

Photographing homeless people (to me) is a delicate balance of what you want to capture while also preserving their dignity. I asked the man if I could photograph him and he asked for a donation. I shot about 20 images in 45 seconds and gave him a couple of dollars. The above image of his feet is the idealized version. Tomorrow you'll see the gritty version with textures I shot in Venice. Stay tuned:)
