Erik's comments on my last post got me thinking about peoples preferences and the decision "to tweak or not to tweak". These "before and after" images are a bit more subtle. I'd love to know which one you like better and why. Thanks for the comments and have a great weekend!

I like the before picture. It feels warmer then the after shot. I also prefer the sharpness of the iron work on the railing vs. the more blurred effect. Both are beautiful regardless.
The reasons I prefer the after shot are as follows. 1. I like dreamy, a lot. 2. I wanted the focus to be on her face, and the railing competes, so I shifted focus on the railing keeping her face sharp. 3. The cooler white wall, lends to a "stairway to heaven" feel...though the bride is walking down...hmmm. There is no right or wrong answer. It simply comes to preference. Thanks for the comments!
Definitely the after shot. One assumes she is on her way to meet her husband - nothing else really matters in the photo except that small bit of excitement/nervousness/anxiousness in her face. The effects place the importance on the emotion. What a beautiful image.
Looking forward to working with you next month, Joe!
I prefer the before shot. I like the warmth. The bride is already such a small part of the image and in the after shot to me she seems even smaller somehow.
definitely the before shot. i feel more emotion with the first shot for some reason than with the second ... she almost feels completely lost from the after shot with so much white, and the loss of the stair details. i like the first so much more ...
I gotta say that I prefer the second. But the first with some vignetting at the top only might make the first more appealing to me. I like the way the more high key isolates the bride and the railing. Awesome composition!

I love them both, but defenitely prefer the after shot. I like the softness.

I prefer the after shot. The before shot just seems too warm for me.

I love the second one - the high contrast, the simplicity. Just beautiful. The first once seems plain to me compared to the second

I like the before picture. The warmer tone is my favorite. I too prefer the sharpness of the iron work on the railing vs. the more blurred effect.

This is wildly unexpected. I love it. Thanks for all of the input!
