This is a vivid illustration to consider. I hope you enjoy it.
A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, the son falls, hurts himself and screams:
"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating,
somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"
Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO,
but really this is LIFE.
It gives you back everything you say or do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.
If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it.
YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!

Joe - Thank you for posting this short story - it was somehow what I needed to hear... I have been through some serious changes in the last few months and I needed to be reminded that life reflects who you are. It becomes what you want it to become.
Thank you!

Joe,
Thank you for this post. Two weeks ago my wife and I found her twin sister murdered by her husband before he took his own life. The words "Coward", "Selfish" and many other explicatives have left our lips the past few weeks. It is so hard to refocus on life and regaining the positive outlook I normally embrace on my journey through life. This post has helped me focus on the positive and to be able to take one step at a time, with each step echoing my healing process with optimism.

Steve, I'm so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain that you and your wife have suffered. Your comment came unexpectedly and really caused me to pause and reflect. I checked your blog for more information and I applaud your "twins project" as a way to celebrate the memory of Sandi. May God grant you and your wife His abundant Grace and Peace.
I'm blessed to know that my post aided in your journey. -Joe
