Ocean Beach with John Mireles
My partner for Rimrock Workshops showed me around his favorite town last night for fish tacos and beers. I was stoked to see that their Happy Hour selection included Irish Car Bombs! I'm adding to my collection of memorable occasions with the frosty beverage. It's approaching cult status. John was a virgin, so I had to break him in. (wait, that sounds sooo wrong). What I meant to say is that he'd never enjoyed a car bomb. Then we ate a bunch of fried fish, drank more beers and watched the sunset. Of course we talked about manly stuff too and the cool things we're going to teach at our next workshop. Officially then it was a "business dinner". I love my job! Cheers.

Joe, I think you are hiding something between you and John. I have seen becker's photo of you two.
P.S. Enjoy the bomb with irish whiskey!

South Beach bar and grill is the BEST fish taco place in all of SD, I'm convinced. I'm glad John introduced you to my favorite gem of a place. Sounds like it didn't let you down!

Ok, I just HAVE to comment. I just found your blog, and was looking through the pics in this post and just KNEW that I recognized the place that you were dining. I was in SD just last month and ate at SB Bar & Grill too - how funny!! Your photos are amazing, and I'd love to get enough courage to attend one of your workshops one day. Til then.... :) -AP
