Kenneth Pool

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to meet New York Fashion Designer Kenneth Pool at Saks Bridal in South Coast Plaza. He is a charming and talented man. I had a great time getting to know him. I did a portrait of the famous designer and photographed some of his Platinum gowns for Priscilla of Boston.

Joe, new to your blog, but a long-time Becker fan. I definitely see what you mean about your personal processing style, and totally agree with your feelings about being the one who WAS THERE, and how it helps you envision a direction to go with the image from start to finish...

Take care,
=Matt=

LOVE those! ......and I'm super jealous! :o)

absolutely stunning! I really like #2!

Joe,
Love those images. How did you shoot the second picture? Did you light in front of her? Very Cool! Great inspiration.
Have a great day,
daryl

Awesome Stuff Joe!! I really love the composition of number three. Balanced yet intriguing.

Tasty, contrasty, and show off fashion!

Right on Matt! I love operating from my feelings. It means my heart and soul are poured into the process! Rock on.

Hello Daryl! I lit all these shots with 1 light! It is off to the left, but there is a crazy amount of photoshop to this file. I start with the final image in mind. I wanted to accentuate the the laces with strong contrast. The light is seven feet high, and I used an umbrella:) I'll be teaching these concepts with John Mireles at Rimrock Workshops this April. Love to see you there.
