Try This
Open up an image.

Duplicate the background layer and invert it (apple I). Change the layer mode to "difference" and flatten the layers.

Then invert the layer again and save it with a different name than the original.

Now open your original image and drag the new version on top of the original. Add a layer mask to the top layer and paint with black whatever elements you'd like to see from the original image. Have fun!!
